Some Ideas for Win-Win Valentine’s Day Celebrations

It wasn’t long after Valentine’s Day last year that the pandemic upended the world as we knew it. Since then, spending time with loved ones and traditional celebrations have been backburnered. Now, with Valentine’s Day 2021 upon us and COVID-19 still posing a health risk, celebrating safely will be crucial.

At A-Train, we’ve got some ideas for a true win-win this Valentine’s Day. Stay home and safe with that special someone; but celebrate with gifts from local businesses that may be strained financially.

Our staff recommends these Colorado Valentine’s Day treats:

Charlie
If you want a fancy Valentine’s Day date while staying at home, you can’t go wrong with a charcuterie board. The Welsh Rabbit and The Fox and the Crow in Fort Collins have a great variety of fine cheeses, meats, and wine.

Dawna
Feel like snacking on farm-to-table goodness? Try takeout from Restaurant 415 in Fort Collins.

Hannah
Order dinner from your favorite local restaurant and pair that with a bottle of wine from Sweetheart Winery.

Liz
If you are in the Boulder/Longmont area, Georgia Boys BBQ is straight up delicious, or if you prefer something more fancy, pick up a cheese-and-treats basket from the Cheese Importers instead.

Brittany
Looking for something sweet for your sweet? Incorporate Copoco’s Honey into your gift.

Gretchen and Ryan
Check out our friends at Big Red F Restaurant Group. Whether it’s Jax Fish House in Fort Collins, Boulder, or Denver, or our personal local favorite Lola Coastal Mexican in LoHi, or a more casual option in The Post for fried chicken and in-house brews – it’s always a top-notch meal and experience.

Whether you take advantage of one of these ideas or find your own local gem to support, we hope you make Valentine’s Day 2021 great. We encourage you to spend time at home celebrating safely with the ones you love while supporting local businesses who will love to see your orders come in!
